Winner of Australian Open Men’s Singles Final Results
Jannik Sinner of Italy won Australian Open Men’s Singles title against Daniil Medvedev of Russia. 22 year old Jannik Sinner, was playing in a major final for the first time and ended Novak Djokovic’s long domination of the tournament in a semi- final upset.
Sinner is the first Italian to win the Australian Open and the youngest winner at the age of 22 in a men’s final since Djokovic won his first Grand slam title in 2008.
In 2008, at age 20, Djokovic won his first major title at the Australian Open, disrupting Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s streak of 11 consecutive majors.
