Who Won the Australian Open Men’s Doubles Final 2024
Rohan Bopanna of India and Mathew Ebden of Australia won the Australian Open Doubles titles 2024.
Rohan Bopanna became only the third Indian to win a men’s Doubles Grand Slam title taking the Australian Open Crown with partner Mathew Ebden.
Earlier only the iconic Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati have won major titles for India in men’s tennis, While Sania Mirza did it in women’s tennis.
For Bopanna, it is his second Grand Slam title, he earlier won the French Open mixed doubles with Canada’s Gabriela Dadrowski in 2017.
Rohan Bopanna also became the oldest Grand Slam champion in men’s tennis. Jean- Julian Rojer, at the age of 40 had lifted the French Open Men’s Doubles Trophy in 2022 with Marcelo Arevola.
The hard fought game was held at the Rod Laver Arena which is located in Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of the main stadiums within the Melbourne Park complex.
It is the first time that Rohan Bopanna has won a major title, having lost in finals at the US Open in 2010 and 2023.
