What is COP26?
The COP26 is United Nations Conference on climate change and its growing concerns throughout the world and how countries are planning to tackle it. COP stands for Conference of the parties. In 1994 countries that signed a UN treaty attend the annual event. The 26th such meet is called by the name COP26.
What is the main objective of COP26?
Under the UN Paris agreement, 2015 the countries pledged to cut the emissions of greenhouse gases to keep the earth from heating up more than 1.5 degrees celsius. The countries also agreed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2015.
